Joosed Up brings back a malt/hop combo that was popular 10 years ago with West Coast IPA styles. Using Centennial hops with some crystal malt. This has resulted in a noticeably more orangey colour from the crystal malt which translates to a slightly sweeter maltiness, adding to the juiciness. This extra maltiness works beautifully with the Centennial hops which give a grapefruit and piney resinous flavour.We continue our experimentation with the Hop Breeding Company’s trial hops. We have used the new trial hop HBC 644 which is described as pine, citrus and spicy which complements the Centennial so well.
