Czech Dark Lager

Inspired by crisp zingy Czech Pilsners, Emilie wanted to brew something similar but with a little more malty toastiness. The Czech Dark Lager uses the same traditional Saaz hops, but with a slightly more kilned (toasted) pilsner malt and some darker specialty German malts to bring out some color and toasty malty sweet flavors. The result is a very fine malty lager with notes of toast and grass with a very clean finish.
