Our collaboration with San Diego beer scene legend Tom Nickel of Nickel Beer Co. is a double IPA that throws back to the IPAs of yesterday and is chock full of Centennial and Cascade. We modernized the approach and omitted the pesky crystal malts, lightened up the body with some simple sugar, and gave it a flavor boost courtesy of Ekuanot hops! Very piney and resinous with old school bitterness. Drinks like a much smaller beer! Try the companion Session IPA that we brewed at Nickel Beer Co. called 5 Penny!
