We carried out a double mash of our Slavanka 1873 recipe but used only the richest first runnings for the boil, to give an extra strong, rich, complex imperial stout. After fermentation it spent time in a conditioning tank with single-malt Speyside whisky oak chips, which adds a further dimension to the flavour.
