Barona have their brewery on the border to the Spanish border, straight into the country from Lisbon. During our recent trip to Portugal we decided to brew a double collab. In Portugal we brewed a coffee Brown Ale, a long dream of ours while we in Sweden wanted to brew something we havent done yet - a bold Double IPA.We aimed to make it a bit dryer for maximum drinkability and to let the bitterness work its magic alongside a robust malt base. For hops we played around with Citra, Taiheke, Nelson Sauvin, Nelson Sauvin Cryo and Riwaka.Together they will offer a hop cocktail full of citrus, resin and pine complemented with gentle fruity grape notes.
