This is one of four releases of barrel agedImperial Russian Stout. One brew, split intofour different casks and left to develop andabsorb the character and flavour embeddedin the wood. This one has been restingin a Caol Ila 11 year hogshead courtesy ofChorlton Whisky. This is our third Caol Ilavintage, it retains that strong hit of peat,that’s balanced with sweet syrupy notes. Adecadent, powerful beer that will developover time but is excellent to drink right now.
