Imperial Coffee Stout

Inspired by nostalgia for a certain classic beer from Quebec that's no longer available in Ontario, we decided to amp up the chocolate and coffee notes in our imperial stout with a heaping portion of Pilot's Monument espresso. Oh and then we charged it with nitro for maximum silkiness, The result is rich and decadent without being cloyingly sweet, balanced by the type of pleasant bitterness you'd find in your morning double shot. Notes of baker's chocolate, dry cherry and molasses along with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel do everything necessary to support a beer of this heft, perfect for keeping warm on the frozen nights of an Ontario winter.
