Shadow of A Barrel

We aged 25 gallons of maple syrup in a small bourbon-barrel for Dripped. Once we drained the syrup, we refilled the barrel with Shadows Blacker (our Black Doppelbock). Five months is all it took to add a depth of woodsy-char, and further mellow the rough-edges of this uniquely German stout... just don't expect it to taste like Log Cabin.
