We've always been confused when people say that making a good Lager is hard, but as we mill pallet after pallet of Czech imported Pilsner malt, weigh piles of beautiful and delicate Czech-grown hops, and crack open a fresh pitch of Czech Pilsner yeast, we realize, if you take no half measures, Lagers aren't all that tricky. You can't expect to make a Pilsner taste like it's from the Czech Republic unless you use ingredients from the Czech Republic. With Place & Time, we think we hit the proverbial nail on the head, crafting a Pilsner that doesn't taste like it sat on a hot boat crossing the Atlantic but instead is more akin to a Pilsner you'd be crushing on the banks of the Vltava with notes of softly toasted biscuit crackers, light cereal grains, mild hop-induced spice and floral characters, with a super dry finish that carries hints of fresh cut grass.
