Field Studies is a Mixed Culture Table Beer designed to showcase the beauty and delicacy of all things naturally occurring in our unique little area. Our first blend was a simple exploration of the wild yeast and bacteria that the cool Bloomfield night air has to offer. Starting with a traditional base of 50% NYS Pilsner and 50% NYS White Wheat, 100% fermented with a yeast blend captured and cultured from our first coolship brew. This follow up keeps the same recipe while fermenting completely in a French Oak Foeder. This beer is bright, delicate, and effervescent, with notes of green grape and lemon hard candy.
