This beer was hand-crafted at the District, SkyCity by Pirate Life Brewer ‘Pres’. It’s big, bold and bitter. Just the way we like it…Brewed with a blend of Pale Malt, Maris Otter, Carapils and Wheat, the District IIPA settles in at 8.8% ABV. That hoppy hit comes from a combination of US, NZ and Aussie hops which (in true PL fashion) are added liberally throughout the process.It pours honey gold, with a thick white head. Expect aromas of pineapple and marmalade, with lifted notes of crushed pine. The first swig comes on like a freight train, but hang in there, you’ll be rewarded with lashings of tropical fruit and a sweet, malty finish.
