Nowt peculiar about The Fabled Riggwelter. Brewed to be better.Named after the local Yorkshire Dales farming term 'riggwelted', where a sheep has rolled onto its back and is unable to get back up. A Dark Strong Ale clocking in at 5.7%, you might be able to guess why.Layers of roasted and toasted malts build a wonderfully complex base with notes of chocolate and coffee, with our house yeast creating subtle red fruit and banana notes. Classic British Goldings balance these flavours with a spicy, earthy bitterness.A breed apart.
