A Tale of Two Dark Ales: Vol 1

A delicious example of a Flanders Red style ale, with pronounced fruit character. A blend of three different casks, a puncheon for the main part, and then two barriques for added character. The dark malts give lovely cherry and leather notes, both on the palate and nose. The acid profile is nicely balanced and bright. A touch of acetic from an older cask adds that classic character.
