Pineapple Paul

This beer is named for our good friend Paul, whom we lost last year. A long-term resident of Lamma Island, Paul's roof was filled with potted pineapple plants. The Pineapple is a historical symbol of hospitality and we hope it's an appropriate tribute to someone who was always incredibly welcoming to everyone! We dry-hopped this heavily with Citra, Mosaic and HBC-586 hops as well as terpenes, the aroma compounds from pineapple and mango.Nose: Pineapple and mango, tropical fruit aromas dominate, with bright and light bready malt character.Appearance: Bright light golden color with brilliant clarity and creamy white head with moderate retentionTaste: Bright fresh tropical fruit with a nice malt balance at first. Layers of berry and canned pineapple follow, with a clean finish and lingering light hop bitterness.
