The Baltic Porter style dates back to the mid/late 18th Century and has its origins in strong English Porters that were shipped to the hinterland of Russia.As the indigenous style developed, Baltic Porters became notable for their cross pollination with Russian Imperial Stouts, leading to beers with high alcohol content but sweet and complex malt tones.Our 2012 gold medal winning take on this classic stays true to the blueprint, with a generous malt bill, and a robust ABV (8.5%), we produce a rich and rewarding dark beer.Expect a mix of big malty chocolate and coffee flavours, with shades of sweetness, dark fruit and raisins. The aroma is enticing, the finish is smooth and slightly dry - one to be savoured on a cold night or with your favourite dessert.
