The collaboration between the Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival, 2085 brewery in Ukraine, and the Global Empowerment Mission has resulted in a special Keller Lager that not only celebrates the best of both countries' brewing traditions but also supports a great cause. 2085 Brewery provided a great base recipe for the beer and Mismatch was tasked with producing it's unique take on the recipe.The Keller Lager pours a hazy golden colour with a fluffy white head that lingers. The aroma is a mix of bready malt notes, spicy Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, and a hint of citrus from the Citra hops. We used a decoction brewing method used in producing this beer gives it a rich malt character with notes of freshly baked bread, crackers, and a touch of honey sweetness. The addition of Carapils and Wheat malts brings a smooth and creamy mouthfeel to the beer, while the Hallertau Mittelfruh hops impart a subtle spicy and floral flavour. The Citra hops contribute a hint of grapefruit and tropical fruit to the finish, balancing out the malt sweetness and leaving a clean and refreshing taste on the palate.
