Bolo de Mel is a 9.3% Imperial Stout inspired in the traditional Madeira's dessert with the same name. To brew this bold beer, we used different kinds of malted barley, Mel de Cana (sugar cane honey), cinnamon and orange and lemon zest.With a solid black color and dark golden head, this beers promises sweetness and body with cinnamon and candy aromas. As it reaches your mouth, there's a smooth and dry feel, complemented with an intense honey flavor. Also cinnamon, nuts and raisins notes strike your palate.This beer honors good traditions and good people. It is dedicated to the people from Madeira that always make sure you feel welcome and loved.
