Collaboration with Annex Ale Project.Tamarind GoseThis year’s Neighbour Day beer from the crew @estbrew and @annexales is the result of fruitful cross-pollination between Western beer styles and Eastern ingredients—and a masterclass in how sharing the spotlight can uplevel the whole show.⠀⠀Gose (pronounced more like Portia than Porsche, if you know what we mean) is a German-style beer known for its subtle saltiness and a herbaceous coriander kiss. Together, we took inspiration from these elements and landed on a tamarind addition to further Separate this beer.⠀⠀Like coriander and salt, tamarind is at home in dishes both sweet and savoury. Here it adds some distinct stone fruit quality and tart background notes to the wispy citrus bouquet that walks a thin line over the wheat base. By adding another utility player to the mix, we got something that stands great among creation—something as versatile as it is unique. This beer and summer go together like two seeds in a tamarind pod.
