Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine aged for 23 months in Wild Turkey Rare Breed barrels.447 bottles made.When we brewed our Bourbon barrel aged Wee Heavy, ‘Sally Skull’, in the American Outlaws series that beer attenuated a little too high, becoming a bit too dry for the style. So, we had to brew a “correction beer” that was brewed only to soften, smoothen and sweeten the original batch of ‘Sally Skull’. That beer was a rich and uncomplicated Barley Wine, and leftovers of that beer is the base for ‘Archfiend of The Abyss’.
