One of the best Estonian Belgian style beer is our Šaht-Matt. It is a very dry beer thanks to the use of Saison yeast and table sugar addition in the kettle (as per the belgian tradition). It is similar to Duvel Belgian Golden Strong ale in abv, mouthfeel and color but the beer is more of a Strong pale saison with more prominent clove and black pepper notes. you can definitely perceive some apple and pear esters and also some unripe apricot and plum character. The yeast is the main driver in this beer. Malts are 90% pilsner with a touch of wheat and dextrin for a bit of body. Cheers!
