Dolgo Crabapple - Reserve (2018 Vintage)

We foraged the crabapples in this bottle from around the Denver metro area. The Dolgo crabapple hails from Russia and its name means 'long' because the apple is egg shaped. When it ripens, the skin is dark purple and imparts a beautiful pink pigment to the cider. It showcases the aromas and flavors of well-ripened strawberries and watermelon.
