Brewed especially for the 8x8 festival in Beijing in October 2024, A Piece of the Pie is a rich smooth pastry sour based on a peach crumble with a bourbon salted caramel crust. As both of us have done beers based on crumbles (baked fruits with a crumbly topping of flour, butter, sugar, and cinnamon), it felt a good connection. We all love a great ripe peach, which we punched up with cinnamon added for piquancy and Bourbon salted caramel to evoke the ‘crust’. Big and bold, with rich fruit flavours and toasty spice.Nose: cinnamon, light tartness, peach, bourbon vanillaTaste: Cinnamon, peach, vanilla, biscuit.
