Gypsy Rose

Описание

made in collaboration with the Pink Boots Society NZ Auckland chapter. It is named after one of a kind Gypsy Rose Lee. Welcome to an almost surreally incongruous world. Yes, there are sleazy nightclubs full of masturbating men and innuendo. But we also get serious authorship, acting, passionate leftist political activism, endless charity work and, finally, a career as a popular TV presenter. Nothing was predictable or conventional in the rollercoaster, rags-to-riches, 59-year life of America's most famous striptease artist. An engaged union leader, she was active between the late 20's to the late 60's. Her 1957 memoir was made into the stage musical and film Gypsy. Gypsy Rose Lee would get a telegram from Eleanor Roosevelt" — the first lady who came second in that popularity poll — "saying, 'May your bare ass always be shining'. Here's to empowered women that make the world go round. People make the world go round!
