Delaware Schooner

Delaware Schooner is inspired by the small wooden ships used to dredge oysters in the Delaware Bay, USA.We took our foundational stout recipe and amped it up with additional rye malts, US grown Chinook and experimental HBC 630 hops and fermented it with an expressive east coast yeast strain. The result is a hazy mahogany dark ale with distinctive notes of dark cherry, spruce tips, a squeeze of citrus with leathery tobacco and oyster minerality undertones wrapped up with a substantial bitter finish.
