Bière De Garde - Aged In Port Barrels With Blackberries (2/18/21)

I'm not really a cocktail guy, but that's the first thing I thought of when I tried this single barrel drank. The nose has rich chocolate and roast notes from the Bière de Garde, there's the complexity from the port barrel and then the Triple Crown blackberries are integrated perfectly. It almost smells thick if that were possible. Nothing harsh in the taste, the chocolate malt all in the nose. Not sour per se, but very tart.
