Our 2022 entry into the Iconic West Coast IPA challenge is a punk riff on this classic style. Much like The Clash exemplified this new category in rock music, in Portland Calling, we have bought the ancestral home of the style right into your mouth and then combined it with some of our own progressive punk flair in the form of some modern new world hop varities. Classic simcoe and Australian Vic secret show a pine driven yet citrus fruit drizzled aroma with a burst of zingy orange on first sip. A assertive bitterness starts growing from this hop flavour and lingers long as the light clean, palate carries it round your mouth. A simple yet finely tuned balance of of light, dry maltiness and big bold hop flavours.
