During World War II to keep the allies satisfied they started shipping beer over in wooden kegs with a specially designed nose cone and attachment that could hook on to the wing of a Spitfire. This method was adopted as the need for more essentials such as rations, ammo & fuel was prioritised by boat. Due to the altitude the spitfires flew, it kept the beer nice and cold, and tasted just like it did coming out of a tap.Brewed in collaboration with Legacy Brisbane, a delicious, thirst quenching golden ale with a perfect balance between malt and hop character with a soft bitter finish.
