Sacramento is one of the world’s largest producers of rice. We are always interested in using local ingredients so we design a sessionable beer using 5 different grains including locally grown Calrose Rice. This rye, wheat, rice, spelt and barley Grisette is a very drinkable beer that showcases the complexity that different grains can lend to the body and flavor. Combined with the French Saison yeast, this beer also exhibits characteristics of pepper and citrus in small amounts.
