BARREL ADOPTION 2022A black lager / Baltic porter hybrid of sorts. 50% barrel aged stout and 50% solo pilsner blended together in stainless steel and left (forgotten about) in tank for a further 8 weeks. This beer was an attempt to create a Baltic porter with all the best bits of two different styles with the excessive 'tinny / metallic buzz that you can get with lager fermented dark malts. We found that the resulting blend had a touch of sweetness that was fighting the beer, the use of black walnut help to create a subtle level of complexity and tannin/ dry finish rounding out the beer.We recommend storing cold and drinking fresh.
