The first Fizzy Blaster was a Barrel Aged Double Sour Ale w/ Apricot, Plum & Vanilla, and though we liked the beer, we especially liked the name and the label artwork. We also wondered — does this beer benefit from barrel aging? Does it need to be this sour? Is there a more accessible version of the same idea out there amongst the fermenters and tri-clamps? Fizzy Blaster has been in our mind’s draft folder ever since and we’ve been looking for an opportunity to give it a thoughtful edit and hit send! This new iteration of Fizzy Blaster is the evolution of the Sour IPA w/ Tangerine & Vanilla that we released in 2020.
