SPRING SAISON"Thunderstorms, those heralds of Spring, roar..." - Vivaldi, Concerto No.1 (Spring)Ushering in the clean, new growth of late spring, Herald - to us - is about simple, fresh beginnings. We brewed this saison with clean pilsner malt and oats from New Brunswick, Canadian wheat, and old world malted rye and Abbey malt. Lightly hopped with Czech Saaz, the beer is fermented with Escarpment Labs Old World Saison yeast, giving it delicate notes of lemon, black pepper, and pineapple sage. This beer is nearly bone dry and effervescent, and is our vision of a day's fieldwork done in the rolling hills of Wallonia.
