Roggen Josh (4.5% abv) is a full, rich, and spicy rye beer produced with up to 60% rye malt. The roggen style originated in Bavaria, southern Germany, and is brewed with the same type of yeast as a German Hefeweizen, resulting in a similar dry and spicy taste. Roggen Josh (we ‘hop’ you enjoy the name!) is made with over 50% Rye malts and a blend of noble and new world hops. English Fuggles and German Hersbrucker hops provide a dry, rounded, and earthy bitterness while new world varieties Olicana and Mosaic add a flair with hints of mango (chutney!) and dried fruit to balance the dryness from the malt.
