Though an obvious oxymoron, this black IPA is a tightrope-walk greater than the sum of it's parts.Judicious application of dark malt provides an alluring black appearance with contradictingly-subtle coffee, cacao and caramel.Hops bestow deep resinous pine and a charged bitterness to a background of candied apple and ripe stone fruit courtesy of a co-pitch of flavourful American and British ale yeasts.
