Coconut Rum Barrel Aged Imperial Stout

The old-school Rum Barrel Stout is a classic beer style that has been aged in rum barrels to develop a robust and rich flavor profile. Rum matured in French oak barrels was made with Mauritius sugar canes. Our Stout has taken on the flavors and aromas associated with the rum, as well as the characteristics of the oak from the barrel in one year.  After one year, we added roasted coconut chips for two weeks and the result is a nice complex Stout with fresh coconut flavor that includes notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, molasses, and hints of dark fruits.
