Panhead Custom Ales – Manuka & Rye Stout.We are super stoked to be part of the 6th Annual Aotearoa New Zealand Stout Challenge hosted by our pals at Punky Brewster and Moon Under Water, two of Christchurch’s premier pint purveyors and flagon fillers.Expect a classic stout smoothness when you take your first gulp – there’s warming chai spices, bitterness of fresh espresso, rich chocolate notes, sweet vanilla and all the hallmarks of a top-shelf American Rye Whiskey – black pepper, butterscotch, orange peel and roasted nuts, with a gentle smokiness from the manuka smoked malt and a rye heavy grain bill.A stout to keep the attention and throw many a surprise with every sip, we hope to see you at all the Aotearoa New Zealand Stout Challenge this Saturday 29th with a pint in your grubby mitt! And for those unlucky souls unable to make their way there, don’t worry, this smoky, spicy, sweet and smooth stout will be pouring in some choice venues up and down the country soon!
